If you don’t, and you choose to make your own menu, while sticking to the allowed foods, your body won’t be in the Zone, and you won’t lose the promised amount of weight. For those who like more freedom while dieting, the Zone diet may not be a great choice, but for people who thrive on rules and routine, this plan can really work.
Like any other diet plan, it also requires you to exercise a few times a week to maximize your results. One thing some people may have a problem with when looking into the Zone diet, is that they sell their own supplements as a part of the diet plan. Supplements tend to make already expensive diets more costly, and you should be getting enough vitamins and minerals from the foods in the menu plan. A good multi-vitamin will take care of any deficiencies. If you choose to go with the Zone diet to lose weight and get in shape, take everything the book says with a grain of salt, and you should be fine. Most diets will work, as long as the people on them stick with the plan!
